The Scott River Watershed Council in partnership with the City of Etna and the California Department of Water Resources have designed, constructed and implemented a real time water discharge gauge in Etna creek. To look at the streamflow in Etna Creek, above the City’s point of diversion, please click this link: All information provided here is provisional. The unit of volume used in this chart is cubic feet per second (cfs).
There are times of the year where the flow in Etna Creek exceeds 200 cubic feet per second (cfs) HOWEVER, please note that the monitoring equipment DOES NOT accurately read streamflow that is higher than 200 cfs. In 2025, we anticipate being able to monitor flows higher than 200 cfs and will adjust this website page accordingly. If you have any questions about the Etna Creek flow station, please reach out to srwc@scottriver.org

The City of Etna solely relies on Etna Creek for its water supply. In 2021, the city developed a water conservation plan. The conservation plan can be found at City of Etna’s website: City of Etna Water Conservation Plan
